Matt Rufkahr, Owner-Wealth Manager and Financial Plannner
Matt was born and raised in New Melle, Missouri, a small town in western St. Charles County. He graduated with a B.S., from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Consumer and Family Economics with an emphasis in Personal Financial Management in 2000. In 2007, Matt earned his CFS designation as Certified Fund Specialist.
Prior to starting GenFinity Wealth Management, Matt worked as a trader in the money management department for a brokerage firm in St. Louis for 2 years. In June 2002, Matt moved to Washington, Missouri and joined LPL Financial and began working with individual and corporate clients as a Financial Advisor. In June 2015 Matt aligned his practice with Cornerstone Wealth Management LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and Matt feels his personal and professional values and goals are exemplified through GenFinity Wealth Management and the partnerships with Cornerstone Wealth Management and LPL Financial. In addition to his work at GenFinity Wealth Management, Matt spends volunteer time as a member of the Finance Committee at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, as well as a past school board member of Lourdes Catholic School, a board member of Franklin County CASA and sits on the Four Rivers Area YMCA Endowment committee. Matt resides in Washington with his wife Carrie, who spends her professional time at GenFinity Wealth Management as an executive and advanced planning insurance benefits representative, and their daughters, Faith and Grace. His hobbies include hunting, golfing, skiing, running, Mizzou athletics, STL sports and spending time with family.

Carrie Rufkahr, Insurance Specialist
Carrie Rufkahr is an insurance specialist focusing on advanced planning concepts and employee benefits. This includes income replacement, long term care, legacy planning, deferred compensation, buy sell arrangements, key man policies and estate equalization.Carrie began her insurance career while attending The University of Missouri – Columbia. While majoring in corporate finance she felt a draw to the personal side of finance. She graduated from Mizzou with a degree in Consumer and Family Economics with an emphasis in Personal Financial Management.
Upon graduating in 2000, Carrie accepted a position as an employee benefits Sales Executive. She began working closely with brokers specializing in small to large size groups. Having grown up in a family business, Carrie had a unique understanding of the goals and challenges business owners face. She realized her skills and knowledge base would be better utilized as a broker representing these clients.
Carrie started her employee benefits practice in 2003. Since then, she has developed strong relationships with her client base. With the introduction of the Affordable Care Act in 2010, her attention to detail and compliance enabled her to strengthen her client relationships while increasing her client base. She has earned a trusted reputation as a leader in developing employee benefit programs and compliance management in addition to realizing significant cost savings for her clients.
As Carrie has continued to work with her business owner clients, she saw a need for additional forms of planning including retirement, key executive compensation and long term care planning. In 2015 Carrie began focusing on Advanced Planning concepts including deferred compensation, buy sell arrangements and key man policies with GenFinity. In 2018 Carrie sold her employee benefits practice to focus solely on life insurance planning.
Carrie has called Washington Missouri home since 2003. She is married to Matt Rufkahr. They have two BUSY children, Faith and Grace. Carrie is a member of the Rotary Club, the marketing committee at Our Lady of Lourdes School, Beta Sigma Phi (Service Sorority) and other professional organizations. She has been a featured speaker for various organizations on the topic of Health Care Reform and empowerment. In her spare time she enjoys running (finally running her first full marathon in 2019!), working out, reading and spending time with her family at the Lake.

Cindy Holdmeyer, Branch Marketing Associate and Sales Assistant
I am the first face you see as you enter our beautiful office, as well as the voice you hear upon calling. Having over 15 years of experience with LPL helps me to maintain the day to day services our client’s accounts require and deserve.
There are many roles I fulfill in the office and I take pride to make sure those roles are all being met on a daily basis. I process the buy and sell transactions for your accounts as well as maintaining your data in our secure system. I reside in Washington with my husband, Paul, and sons, Logan and Evan. Outside of the office, my time is spent watching my boys’ various sporting activities or just spending time with family and friends.
I am a native of the New Haven/Washington area and a graduate of Washington High School. I have served on various committees and as PTC Secretary at my children’s grade school, Campbellton Elementary, as well as teaching Sunday school at St. Peter’s UCC in Washington. Currently, I am on the Festival of Trees Committee at St. Peters UCC.

MaryLynne Steffens, Branch Operations Manager
As part of GenFinity Wealth Management, I wear multiple hats while being centrally focused with the operations of the firm. Whether it’s helping Matt to prep for upcoming client meetings, cultivating client relationships, or working closely with our compliance office, I will provide the service that you will learn to expect when working with our firm. I have been in the financial services industry since 1993, and have been associated with LPL since 1994. In the ever changing financial environment I believe hard work, attention to detail, and staying at the front in the advancing world of technology is critical to fulfilling out our mission.
I’ve been involved in various community and church organizations including, Melanoma Miles for Mike, Alzheimers Association, St. Francis Borgia Church Pastoral Council, Maintenance Committee, Finance Committee, SFBRHSAA, and SFB Grade School.
I reside in Washington with my husband Charlie and have two grown children Ryan, wife Dawn and Nikki, husband Tim Larrison, 5 Grandchildren, Andrew, Henry, Will, Eva and Logan. While I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, gardening, sports and time outdoors.
